Shelton police identified the victim of a fatal shooting in the parking of the Marriott Residence Inn late Saturday night as 23-year-old Ivan Whyte, of Bridgeport.

Police and emergency medical services responded to the hotel at 1001 Bridgeport Ave. on reports of a shooting. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released many details surrounding the incident. Shelton police says more information will be outlined on Monday.
