A Shelton Intermediate School teacher and students donated 3D printed face shields to first responders in town.
Robert Swercewski and the SIS Inventor's Lab students dontated nearly 30 shields to EMS workers at Echo Hose Ambulance of Shelton.
Echo Hose Ambulance is the primary first EMS company for Shelton.
Sweecewski teaches a 3D printing course at the school called Inventor's Lab, and his students have been making shields for the last few weeks for EMS crews.
He says thanks to hundreds of dollars in donations from teachers, he was able to buy two new 3D printers and all the materials to make the shields.
The face shields include the company's logo and inspirational messages, which were inscribed by the students.
Sweecewski says a couple dozen more shields will be donated to local hospice centers and nursing homes.
