A single-car crash claimed three lives in Hamden Sunday.
Authorities say a 26-year-old and 29-year-old, both from Bridgeport, were killed. The third victim was a 21-year-old from Monroe.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say the car was exiting the Route 40 Connector at a high rate of speed. The vehicle crossed four lanes on Whitney Avenue before striking a tree.
All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Police were withholding their identities pending family notification.
The crash remains under investigation.
