The growth of social networking Web sites is creating more competition in the job market, experts say.
Human resources consultant David Lewis says that not knowing various ways to show your resume to employers can allow less qualified applicants to land the job.
?I?m looking for common bonds, if I can lead in my subject or first two lines of e-mail with one of those common bonds, I?ve found that?s going to make me more compelling and at least get that person to read my resume,? Lewis says.
Lewis says job seekers need to use professional and social networking Web sites to learn more about an employer and the company's hiring manager. One CEO says the best candidates he's seen research his company and show that they match up well with its corporate culture.
