Some summer sports camps are getting underway with social distancing rules to keep kids safe.
Nighthawk Baseball and Elite Softball Camp says they have sanitizing schedules, each athlete will bring their own equipment and the camp has reconfigured popular drills to keep children 6 feet apart as best they can.
Ian Thoesen runs the Newtown camp. He's the high school's head baseball coach as well as a private baseball and softball instructor. His message for parents who may be skeptical sending their kids off to camp this summer is that they're in good hands.
Some coaches are specifically assigned to enforce social distancing.
Many summer tournaments are still scheduled to go on this summer, but with fewer teams and, in some cases, no fans present.
