Southbury police say a tree limb fell onto a vehicle and shattered its front windshield Friday.

It happened on Strongtown Road near Vista View Drive around 3 p.m.

Upon their arrival, officers found a Ryder box truck with a tree limb sticking out of the windshield.

It is not known if wind was a factor or what caused the limb to fall.

The driver was able to get out of the truck before officers arrived and was taken to an hospital with minor injuries.
