St. Vincent's College in Bridgeport was evacuated Monday, but according to school officials it was just a drill.
Signs were up throughout the campus Monday warning people that there would be a drill. The drill focused on evacuating the campus in the event of a bomb threat and a suspicious package being found inside one of the school's buildings.
College officials said the drill went according to plan. Dozens evacuated the building in an orderly fashion as the warning sounded.
Officials said such drills are conducted several times per year so students and faculty are prepared should there ever be an emergency.
They said the drill was planned for some time, but is even more important given the recent attacks in Paris and Mali.
