Dr. Omar Ibrahimi has gained notoriety for treating children born with port-wine stain birthmarks.
He uses lasers to virtually erase the disfiguring condition at no charge to families.
Dr. Ibrahimi tells News 12 it is gratifying to know that the treatment has had a major impact on his patient's confidence and lives.
"Just knowing that you've helped reduce a potential source of stress, not only for the parents, but for the child and their development, it's one of the best feelings that we get in medicine, knowing that you made a difference in helping patients," he says.
