With Halloween just one week away, some thrill seekers got an eerie educational tour Friday at a Stamford historical site.
For one night only, people can dive deep into the history of Hoyt Barnum House on Bedford Street by taking a walking tour through the site.
The Hoyt Barnum House was built in 1699. Some people who toured the home say they came for a history lesson, while others hoped to see a ghost.
Chairman of the Stamford Historical Society Pam Coleman says visitors will learn about the Hoyt Family who lived in the home. Coleman says Susannah Hoyt died after giving birth in the home, and last year some participants who took the tour claimed they saw some paranormal activity.
News 12 is told this is Stamford Historical Society's fourth year doing the tours and they say they had more than 50 people come to visit.
