The Stamford NAACP is hoping for police reform that is focused on accountability and transparency.
The organization is working with Stamford's mayor and police to try and make it happen.
Proposals include a review of the internal affairs process, mental health and deescalation training for law enforcement and community engagement training for minorities.
They also want to see discipline for officers with multiple citizen complaints.
