Stamford police say five teenagers are facing charges in connection to a robbery in a city park.
The Stamford police say two 15-year-olds were surrounded by the suspects while in Scalzi Park last month.
Investigators say they demanded the victims' valuables then pulled out a knife and assaulted the teens when they refused to hand the items over.
"They took the backpacks, skateboard and cellphones and took off running. Luckily for us we were able to identify all of the suspects involved and make five arrests," says Lt. Diedrich Hohn, of the Stamford Police Department.
Police say their officers were able to find a contact who knew one of the suspects.
Investigators say that the teen then turned in his alleged accomplices.
