Stamford police say a total of 17 men are free on bond this evening after being nabbed in two separate illegal gambling raids in the city.

Authorities say officers made the arrests in private homes on East Main and Lafayette streets at around 8 p.m. yesterday.

Officials report that the gambling included card games, sports betting and illegal lottery games.

Officers say the arrests were the result of several complaints from neighbors.
