The $12 million from the previous coronavirus bill is being put to good use at Stamford schools.
The money is being allocated to buy technology and personal protective equipment for children when they return to in-person learning.
Rippowam Middle School Principal Matthew Laskowski says that some of the funds are also going to focus on helping students with their social skills and emotional needs.
“This money is certainly going to allow us to do that and get training to our staff for that support,” Laskowski says.
Elementary schools will fully reopen next week and middle schools open the following week in Connecticut.
