A Connecticut-based company is leading the charge in helping businesses address their energy use.
State leaders gathered in Shelton Tuesday at Budderfly, a business recently named one of fastest growing companies in America.
They specialize in creating methods for businesses to reduce their carbon footprint.
A DEEP commissioner says the state is supporting Budderfly as they turn their focus to energy efficiency.
"Every unit of energy that we don't use is incredible valuable - and not only for reducing emissions, but for keeping dollars in businesses pockets," said DEEP Commissioner Katie Dykes.
Budderfly President Al Subbloie says the company plans to hire 120 people by the end of 2023 and between 50 to 100 people every year thereafter.
