Gov. Ned Lamont's office has confirmed that the special session for his proposal on EV sales is unlikely to happen. Instead, it will be debated in the regular session starting on Feb. 7.

Gov. Lamont plans to prohibit the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035, which has been met with criticism.
State Senate Democrats are scheduled to discuss privately on Friday.
