State police: Four family members killed in I-95 Stamford crash

A four family members were killed following an accident early Saturday morning on I-95 north in Stamford.
It happened at 3:05 a.m. near Exit 8. Connecticut State Police say a tractor-trailer was driving slowly in heavy traffic when a SUV behind it failed to stop and struck the rear of the vehicle.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The four people in the car, all from Philadelphia, were pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased were identified as Daniel A. Contreras Francisco, 23; Joel E. Contreras Francisco, 29; Lorena Contreras Francisco Reyes, 59; and Joel Francisco Contreras-Paniagua 49.
I-95 north in the area was closed for several hours but has since reopened. The accident is under investigation.
