State police: Trooper suspended following audit on falsified tickets

State police say a trooper has been suspended and is on paid leave following a recent audit that reportedly found hundreds of troopers falsified information on tickets.
Christopher Melanson has been a trooper since 2006.
A report released last month revealed some tickets may have been falsified to skew racial profiling data.
That falsified information was allegedly on at least 26,000 traffic stops from 2014 to 2021.
