State police are warning the public to be aware of scams pretending to help the family of fallen state Trooper Aaron Pelletier.

They tell News 12 that several fake and unauthorized fundraising platforms for his family have been created.

The Connecticut State Police set up their own GoFundMe link to ensure that 100% of the funds raised go directly to his family.
