Stew Leonard's in Norwalk held its annual Turkey Brigade Thursday.
Each year, Norwalk's mayor, police and fire, along with staff, form an assembly line to distribute turkeys.
The turkeys are then placed in cars and distributed to families in the area facing food insecurity.
Stew's will give out nearly 3,000 turkeys.
"We like to bring as many local organizations as we can because we are a family business. we adore our community and so we got the local fire department, local police officers and they're helping us five out all these turkeys," says Brittney Tavello, manager at the Norwalk store.
The brigade is held at all of Stew Leonard's seven locations.
