Stone Academy students to receive compensation as settlement is reached with owners

The settlement, announced Friday, would end all lawsuits against Stone Academy, which abruptly shut down two years ago.

A legal settlement has been reached with the owners of Stone Academy that will allow students to receive nearly $5 million in compensation, according to Attorney General William Tong.
The settlement, announced Friday, would end all lawsuits against Stone Academy, which abruptly shut down two years ago.
As part of the agreement, the school's owner would also be banned from operating a college for five years.
