Fairfield homeowner pleads for driver who destroyed her fence to take responsibility

A disabled homeowner in Fairfield has a holiday headache on her hands after she says a driver damaged her property and took off.
There is not much left of Irene Magyar's fence -- there are shattered sections scattered across the yard and tire marks on the lawn of the Melville Avenue home.
Magyar says this isn't the first time a car has crashed into the fence of the home that sits on the foot of a hill. But she says in past incidents, the drivers remained at the scene.
Magyar says she cannot believe someone would do this much damage and just take off.
"I understand that you may be scared and may be upset, but I am disabled and this is devastating to me," says Magyar. "I have to pay that deductible and even that is hard for me ... I could use help, do the right thing."
Magyar says police picked up pieces of a blue car after the crash, so she wants local residents to keep their eyes open for a vehicle of the same color with some damage.
