Officials: Bridgeport police officer, 4 others injured in 2-car crash

A Bridgeport police officer was among five people hurt in a two-car crash early Saturday morning.
The incident took place at Park Avenue and Olive Street. Police say none of the injuries were life-threatening.
Scott Appleby, the director of the city’s Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security, says an “uninsured, unregistered vehicle blew [a] stop sign” before the crash.
