A program held for ninth-grade students Wednesday showed them the importance of energy efficiency.

Members of the Early College Studies Program from Stamford High School were given lessons on the ecosystem, climate change, and the impacts by technology during a presentation at Mill River Park. 

Organizers say children should be taught at a young age the importance of protecting the environment.

The program was held in partnership with Beyond Limits of Stamford and Sacred Heart University.
