Students are moving into their dorms at Sacred Heart University today.
School officials say there are steps the university is taking to keep students and staff safe amid the pandemic.
Students and staff are required to sign the "Pioneer Promise."
It's a contract vowing to wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
The university says students won't be allowed to have guests outside their residence halls to avoid interaction between halls.
Students will need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before moving in.
There's a designated quarantine area for students who show symptoms or test positive during the semester.
The university says it will monitor off-campus activity too.
Freshmen will continue to move in through tomorrow.
All other on-campus students will move-in after.
