OVERNIGHT: Overnight lows dip down to about 23 degrees but feeling like closer to 10 degrees with the 25 to 35 mph gusts. It will be a frigid morning commute once again.
WEDNESDAY: A mix of sun and clouds, with more sun expected early Wednesday afternoon, with highs near 32. One more frigid night with lows near 22 degrees, feeling like the teens.
LATER THIS WEEK: A rapid recovery begins Friday with highs surging to near 40 degrees with a much lighter wind making it feel noticeably warmer. That sets the stage for a weak storm for the second half of Saturday with rain on-and-off and highs approaching 50 degrees. WEEKEND: Behind the Saturday storm, Sunday remains gloomy looking with plenty of clouds and an isolated shower between storms. It is a transition day between the warmup on Friday and Saturday, and the brutal cold that awaits next week. Another storm is possible on Monday with some snow showers, but it is too soon to know how strong the storm will be or if it will miss the area because it is "too cold to snow" like previous storms this month.
NEXT WEEK: What is becoming clearer is a massive surge of frigid weather next Tuesday and Wednesday, and it could be the coldest weather all season. There is potential for actual temperatures to dip to 10 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday morning next week. Feels like temperatures could also dip below zero. Too soon to know those specifics but do know the threat is there for very dangerous cold. At the tail end of the
cold shot coming from Siberia – another storm is possible, but again, it is way too far out to know where or how strong the storm could be.
