State police say a man is dead in a police-involved shooting following a standoff with Stamford officers last night.
It happened at a home on Wedgemere Road around 8 p.m.
State police say officers were called to the home for a disturbance. They say two officers opened fire after an hourlong standoff.
Investigators identified the man as Dylan Pape, 25, a Stamford High School graduate. They say he was taken to Stamford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
State police are handling the investigation.
The names of the officers involved have not been released.
