Two people were taken to the hospital and hundreds had to go through a decontamination process due to a suspicious package in North Canaan.

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is investigating the possible hazmat incident.

DEEP said it was in response to a suspicious package at the Becton Dickenson facility.

A contractor is now at the site managing the decontamination operation.
