With some of its locations struggling throughout the state, the Stamford Salvation Army is urging people to help those in need during the holidays.
“It’s the time of year that we really want people to know we take care of our neighbors,” Major Myron Smith, of the Salvation Army in Greater Stamford, says. "For those who have a little bit extra, to share that with those who are struggling, is really what this Christmas season is all about."
New unwrapped toys and used coats can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Stamford Salvation Army at 198 Selleck St.
