Bridgeport teacher Dr. Emeka Dan-Udekwe is asking for an investigation after he says he was told by his principal to change grades on report cards.
According to Dan-Udekwe, after report cards were sent home, students asked him why their grades were higher then expected. Dan-Udekwe says students expecting an F or a D received A and B letter grades.
The attorney for the school district issued a statement saying, "We have been and continue to look into his attorney's complaint that he was forced to change the grades. On the facts available, that does not appear to be the case."
An attorney for Dan-Udekwe says she has filed a lawsuit against the district for retaliating against her client. The district spokesman says that all parties will meet before any suit goes forward.
