The #ThankYouTour made a stop in Greenwich Wednesday to thank truck drivers working to make deliveries through the pandemic.
The tour traveled to the weigh station along I-95 in Greenwich where a 38-ton crane held a 50-foot American Flag and a giant sign that read "Thank You Truckers."
The crane belongs to K & J Tree Service, a Norwalk-based company, who also started the #ThankYouTour.
Organizers say the #ThankYouTour has made stops at 10 hospitals across Connecticut to honor health care workers, but today's focus was about the heroes who spend hours behind the wheel delivering goods across the state.
State Police also participated in the tour and helped to assist K & J Tree Service at the weigh station.
The idea to show a little love to heroes on the front lines initially came from K & J Tree Service CEO Kyle DeLucia's niece, Kayla.
Kayla's aunt, and DeLucia's sister is also a nurse at at Yale New Haven Hospital.
DeLucia says they plan to stop at every hospital across the state.
