The NYPD released bodycam footage Monday of Officer Alyssa Vogel rushing a 4-year-old to an ambulance after a shooting in Times Square, that happened just before Mother's Day.
The NYPD officer was captured on video running through Times Square with a 4-year-old girl who had just been shot credited her police training and motherly instincts.
The NYPD says this year is the first time Officer Alyssa Vogel would have celebrated motherhood. Having a 6-month-old baby at home is why she said saving this small victim was different.

Vogel told News 12 Monday she was thinking of her own baby and just wanted to get the young girl to safety as quickly as possible.
She said her NYPD training kicked into play in the crucial moment as she did what she had to do to protect the little girl.
The footage of her running through Times Square to the ambulance went viral.
Moments before the video, she said she and her partner received a call about a shooting on 45th Street and Broadway. Both rushed to the scene.
When they got there, they found one of the three victims getting treatment. Vogel rushed to help the 4-year-old girl, who was a block away.
"I have a child that I was just looking at her like I'm treating her the way I want someone to treat mine and I wouldn't be waiting for the ambulance. I'm running my kid to the ambulance, so I just picked her up and ran," Vogel recalled. "Everyone did a phenomenal job. I'm very proud of the cops that work with every single day, and I think that any cop that was in my position would've done the same exact thing that I did."
Police have identified suspect 31-year-old Muhhamad Farrakhan in connection to the shooting.
