The third teen victim of a car crash at the Connecticut Post Mall was laid to rest Tuesday in Milford.
Despite clinging on to life for more than a month, 16-year-old Michael Vicino succumbed to his injuries Friday. Vicino was the front passenger in a car with his two friends when the vehicle slammed into a utility pole by the mall. He was a student at Eli Whitney Technical School, where he pursued his dream of fixing cars.
Friends had fond memories of Vicino as they said their final goodbyes at a packed St. Gabriel's Church.
"He always had your back," said friend Bill Campbell. "He was always there for you, that's something I'll never forget."
Vicino was buried at St. Mary's Cemetery. The accident is still under investigation.
