Thousands of people across southwestern Connecticut paid tribute to veterans today on this holiday bearing their name.
At one observance in Bridgeport, many people came to say thank you to those who served in the armed forces.
Veterans who attended the observance say they cannot let a day go by without being thankful for the country they have served.
