A Torrington man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping his own son.

Police say 22-year-old Jessie Parmalee took the 4-year-old child from a home in town, despite not having contact with the boy for some time.

Police say Parmalee at first wouldn't cooperate with officers, leading to a four-hour delay in reuniting the boy with his mother.

The child was taken to the hospital to be checked out, and was determined to be OK.
