Traffic was backed up for several hours in Stamford after a car brings down a utility pole.
It happened on Pepper Ridge Road at 287.
Police closed the road for major repair work on the downed wires.
Drivers were detoured through Kensington or Harvest Hill to Sanford Lane.
Officials say there were only minor injuries and the road has since reopened.
