The PGA Travelers Championship teed off Thursday morning in Cromwell.
Fairfield's JJ Henry, the 2006 champion, finished his first round with a 2-under-par 68.
The tournament also marks the professional debut of Rowayton's Cameron Wilson.
The Stanford graduate and recent NCAA individual champion parred his first ever career hole.
Henry and Wilson will be playing in the second round, which will be Friday.
