While Tropical Storm Danny is fading out in the Atlantic, it is still expected to bring heavy rains that may spoil big weekend plans in southwestern Connecticut.

Chris Mancini, the organizer of the Bridgeport-based Blue Fish Tournament, says despite the bad weather, he expects most of the 4,500 fishermen who registered for the contest to attend.

Jamie Cockey, of Naugatuck, says regardless of the weather, he and his two friends will cast their rods Saturday in hopes of getting the $25,000 prize.

Meanwhile, organizers of the Greek Festival in Norwalk say unless there is lightning, the carnival rides and food stalls will remain open, rain or shine.
