Trumbull car crash claims lives of Bridgeport couple

A second person has died after a car crash in Trumbull shut down a roadway for hours yesterday.

A second person has died after a car crash in Trumbull shut down a roadway for hours yesterday.
Police say Noelli Escarraga, age 69, and his wife, Maria Escarraga, age 62, both died as a result of the crash.
The couple's Toyota slammed into a bridge abutment on Quarry Road near Old Town Road Monday afternoon around 3 p.m.
Noelli Escarraga was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police say Maria Escarraga sustained serious injuries and died sometime after.
The Trumbull Police Traffic Division officers are continuing the investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
