Firefighters in Trumbull battled a brush fire overnight Sunday.
The fire started just after 2 a.m. in a large and dense debris pile at Beach Memorial Park.
Over 25 firefighters from several of the town's fire departments and town employees responded to the fire.
It took them six hours to put out the fire.
Crews plan to patrol the area throughout Sunday and the next few days to check for hot spots and ensure the fire does not rekindle.
Several roads nearby were closed, but reopened Sunday morning.
It's not clear if anyone was injured.
