Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made his pitch to Connecticut voters Saturday ahead of next week's primary election.
The front-running businessman turned politician was in Waterbury, then Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport for a rally that drew many supporters and protesters.
The crowd went wild when Trump spoke of his signature plan to build a wall on the Mexican border. "We will throw that wall up so fast your head with spin," he said.
Supporters responded by chanting, "Build that wall."
Trump also commented on the state's business climate and the recent loss of General Electric.
"The city of Bridgeport has a motto which is, 'By industry, you thrive.' We should change that. If you elect Trump, you will thrive."
Several protesters were kicked out of the rally, including Elliot Abbots, who says Trump spews hate.
"I don't think that's what the United States of America stands for," says Abbots.
