School officials announced Sunday that Coleytown Elementary School and Stepping Stones Preschool will be closed Monday after a mother killed herself and her 7-year-old daughter was drowned last week.
The state medical examiner confirmed Friday Tracy Malon, who was referred to as Tracy Do by police, had killed herself. Her daughter, Layla Malon, was found dead after being drowned.
Layla Malon attented Coleytown Elementary School.
Superintendent of Schools Thomas Scarice says they are working on a plan to get mental health and grief counselors for those who need them.
Parents are encouraged to reach out to their child's teacher to set up a time to pick up any belongings still at school.
