Firefighters were called to Vine Street in Bridgeport early this morning.
A van parked in a driveway caught fire and spread to a vacant two-story house that it was parked next to.
Neighbors told firefighters that people have been living in the van for some time.
News 12 has been told the people reportedly living in the van were not in it when the mattress caught fire and spread to the house.
