A vigil was held to honor the life of a Stamford mom who died after suffering a medical condition and then falling down stairs inside a Manhattan subway.
A few dozen people released balloons at Cove Island Park in Stamford Monday in honor of Malaysia Goodson.
They also lit candles and prayed and thanked God for every moment they shared with her.
Goodson, 22, of Stamford, died on Jan. 28, after suffering a pre-existing medical condition inside the 7th Avenue subway station, the city’s medical examiner later determined. However, an official cause of death has not been determined.
Goodson did not appear to suffer any trauma after police say she fell down the stairs while holding her 2-year-old daughter in a stroller.
Family members say she went to the city to go shopping.
