Shelters and soup kitchens across southwestern Connecticut were busy serving free Christmas dinner to thousands of the less fortunate today.

In Norwalk, residents gathered at Open Door Shelter to give back to the community by giving the homeless a good meal for Christmas. Volunteers served up over 100 lbs. of roast beef, potatoes, and other Christmas dinner favorites.

All the food served at Open Door Shelter was donated by local businesses.
