A new educational space is providing kids with options to learn, play and interact with one another while their parents seek housing assistance.
The PATH Intake Center opened its "wait room" for children Tuesday to make the process of entering the shelter system a little less stressful.
The process can take up to three hours, so this space gives kids a place to be kids.
The room features educational resources for kids to enjoy while their parents go through the intake process and paperwork for housing. The room features activities, age-appropriate apps, and children's books. Two new TVs play educational programming to keep kids entertained.
