Western Connecticut’s first baby of the New Year was born in Norwalk.

The Poythress family from Redding welcomed a baby boy New Year’s morning.

Grant William was born at 7:55 a.m., weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces.

News 12 is told Grant is the second child of David and Nicole Poythress, whose young daughter was born in Switzerland.
