A church in Westport that was engulfed in flames three years ago is back open this morning just in time for Christmas.
In November 2011, fire caused caused significant damage to the 181-year- old Saugatuck Congregational Church on Post Road East.
Parishioners had been attending services at the nearby Temple Israel for nearly three years, but were welcomed back for the first service last night.
The church says they're happy to be back home.
Part of the building is still being worked on, but officials expect the whole project will be fully completed by March.
