The Westport Is Your Oyster festival, hosted by the Westport Museum on Memorial Day, is being held online this year due to the pandemic.
Copp's Island Oysters and Black Bear Wines are sponsoring the events, and 250 pounds of oysters, prosecco, an oyster knife and a password to virtual content will be delivered to attendees Saturday afternoon.
The director of sales at Copp's Island Oysters says the pandemic destroyed business overnight. According to oystermen, getting people back into restaurants is key to righting the ship.
Organizers say the proceeds from the event are benefiting the museum during a challenging time.
Tickets for the event are sold out but you can donate online.
