World renowned paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren has died, her family says. She was 92.
Warren died in her sleep at her Monroe, Connecticut home Thursday night, her son-in-law Tony Spera wrote in a Facebook post.
Lorraine and late husband Ed Warren were the founders of the New England Society for Psychic Research.
Their paranormal investigations spanned the globe, but their most notable investigation was the 1976 Amityville horror case on Long Island.
The ghost-busting couple's cases spurred many Hollywood films including the 'Conjuring' series and 'Annabell.'
