Norwalk police say a man has been hospitalized after a shooting on Kossuth Street Sunday afternoon.

Officials say the man was shot in the leg just after 12 p.m.

Police spent the afternoon combing the scene for evidence, blocking off the area for hours.

Neighbors say violence in the neighborhood isn't surprising and only gets worse as the days get warmer.

Officials say the victim managed to walk himself inside his home until the ambulance came and took him to Norwalk Hospital, where he is being treated.
